Under her leadership, the agency invested in analytics (development of Analytics & Insight services), strategy (introduction of Syntax), content, and technology. During that time, MEC Poland topped RECMA’s ranking for seven years in a row, and is the Effie Number 1 agency.

Apart from her work for MEC, Albrychiewicz is actively engaged in industry life, shaping the advertising market standards in Poland. She’s a member of SAR Marketing Communication Association and IAA boards.

Ms Albrychiewicz’s business achievements and her activity in the industry have been acknowledged in numerous competitions. Wavemaker’s future CEO was the first woman to be awarded AdMan by Press magazine; Wprost weekly named her the 21st Century Visionary and Puls Biznesu journal nominated her in their 100 Business Women Contest.

Tim Castree, CEO of MEC and Wavemaker commented: “We’re merging Maxus and MEC to form Wavemaker, a brand new billion dollar revenue media content and technology agency. With such ambition, comes a need for brilliant talent to lead and inspire, and so today’s news is very exciting for us. Under Izabela’s leadership, I am confident that we have the right team in place to truly blend the best of MEC and Maxus and make Wavemaker Poland a formidable future-facing agency.”

In addition, Jaromir Sroga, current chairman of Maxus, is taking a new role with GroupM, becoming the Head of Transformation for GroupM Poland. In this role, Jaromir will work with GroupM Poland ExCo to lead a number of change initiatives across our agencies and specialist units, including the successful merger of MEC and Maxus. Sroga will report to Anna Lubawska, GroupM Poland CEO.
