WAVEMAKER ANNOUNCES PORTUGAL LEADERSHIP

Tim Castree, Global CEO of MEC and Wavemaker today announced that José Manuel Cardoso, CEO of MEC Portugal, will take on the role of CEO of the new combined MEC and Maxus Wavemaker agency in Portugal when it launches in January 2018.

José will lead a new management team which will include Maria João Oliveira, as Managing Director, Carla Rodrigues as Chief Innovation Officer and Diogo Marnoto as Chief Client Officer.

José has been MEC’s CEO since 2007.

The role becomes effective in January 2018.

José has been CEO of MEC Portugal for more than 10 years. Prior to this he was Country Manager for the Mediaedge:cia group (later to become MEC) in Portugal, and before that, Media Director at Y&R.
