Wavemaker UK retains Department for Education’s media strategy and planning services

Following a competitive four-week tender process, Wavemaker UK has retained the Department for Education (DfE)’s media strategy and planning services for School Teacher and FE Teacher Recruitment Campaigns. Having worked with the DfE for over six years, and our teams have been responsible for successfully delivering a number of high-profile campaigns including Get Into Teaching and Teach in Further Education.

Wavemaker UK was reappointed for its expertise in creating and delivering insight-driven media strategies demonstrating how both its Evaluating Encounters and GeoGraph approaches could facilitate the effective communication of key campaign messaging to often fragmented audiences. This is especially important with young people, with the DfE citing the agency’s ability to unearth audience provocations that can help it reach and engage with the changing needs of a new generation.

Wavemaker’s response to our brief demonstrated a strong understanding of the exacting needs of our often-fragmented audiences, alongside strategic and innovative thinking to help us continue to cut through in a competitive market.  We look forward to our continued partnership with the team.

Chris Greer, Managing Partner, Wavemaker UK said: “It’s incredibly rewarding to have been reappointed as the DfE’s teacher recruitment media planning agency of record. We look forward to working with the team to continue to positively provoke the department’s media strategy and engage with the ever-evolving needs of its target audience.”
