Wavemaker Appoints New Global Head of Content

Puchalsky joins from UM where he was Managing Director of UM Studios, North America. In his three-year tenure he drove significant growth for the discipline and led content initiatives for leading global brands.

Wavemaker Content is one of Wavemaker’s fastest growing business units and Adam will be responsible for continuing to build the agency’s capabilities in content creation and distribution, designing new models and driving a deeper connection between content and consumer’s purchase journey.

Puchalsky will report to Wavemaker Global Chief Transformation Officer Jason Dormieux, who said of the appointment: “Wavemaker Content is already responsible for a double-digit contribution to our global revenues and we expect this to accelerate significantly over the next two years. Adam’s proven track record of building world-class content capabilities and sophisticated content solutions for major global brands makes him the ideal candidate to help us achieve our ambitions.”

Adam Puchalsky added: “At Wavemaker, content is more than a specialist offering; it’s an integral part of how the agency unlocks growth for clients and that makes it an exciting and progressive proposition. The appointment is effective immediately.

About Adam Puchalsky
A graduate of the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, Adam began his career in account management at JWT. He worked on global brand assignments for Samsung, Merrill Lynch, Trident Gum, and Macy’s. From there, he moved to Atmosphere BBDO, where he immersed himself in all things digital – working on brand and product launches online for AT&T; followed by creative sponsorship and retail activations for FedEx.  In 2010, Adam moved to Mcgarrybowen to serve as the lead on the Verizon digital account. He moved to the United Airlines business to lead the digital and social media effort after the merger with Continental Airlines. Adam then went to Ogilvy as an Executive Group Director, where he worked with A-listers, for example Olivia Munn. Adam then took on the role of Managing Director of UM Studios, North America, and worked to facilitate unique relationships with production, talent and media partners to deliver successful business outcomes for his clients. During his time there, Adam drove double-digit growth annually for the discipline, almost tripling revenue for UM Studios.
