Wavemaker China Appoints New Chief Client Officer

Wavemaker, the global media, content and technology agency, today announced the appointment of Jeff Yan as Chief Client Officer for China and head of Wavemaker’s Beijing office.

Since inception in December 2017, Wavemaker (formerly MEC and Maxus) has seen spectacular growth in China. Wavemaker was ranked the top agency for new business wins in 2018 (R3, January 2019), with more than 25 new client wins in the areas of media, content, e-commerce, social and integrated marketing services.

About Jeff Yan

Spanning 20 years of experience in brand marketing and communication, Jeff is a proven industry leader and digital pioneer. He has led agencies and held senior positions in automotive and technology industry brands. Before joining Wavemaker, Jeff was VP of JD Group and JD Finance GM of Marketing. He also held senior roles at BlueFocus Mobile, VML, BMW, Sina and Baidu. Through his experiences he has developed a deep business knowledge and unique understanding of what it takes to successfully counsel clients as they navigate the pace of change in the world’s most dynamic media market.

Jeff will be based in Beijing and reports to Wavemaker China CEO & APAC President Gordon Domlija.
