Wavemaker is the world’s best performing media agency according to COMvergence’s New Business Barometer (Q1-Q3 2020).
In the just released report from the independent research company, Wavemaker leads the agency ranking with an overall new business result of $1.15b, followed by MediaCom ($1b) and Mindshare ($990m). GroupM tops the media group league, $2.5b ahead of Publicis Media (2nd) and Dentsu (3rd).
Wavemaker’s leadership position follows recent new business success, including snapping up accounts for Novo Nordisk, Tencent, Burger King and Perfetti van Melle and extending the existing relationship with major brands including Huawei, L’Oréal, Mondelez, Netflix and Pernod Ricard.
Hamish Davies, Global Chief Growth & Marketing Officer of Wavemaker, said, “We’ve worked incredible hard to consistently build the global scale and expertise it takes to provoke growth for all our clients in a tough environment – and still win new business.”
In March this year Wavemaker relaunched with an evolved proposition, product and attitude to refocus the agency for growth and global consistency. The new positioning, Positive Provocation, focus on creating growth for brands through bold change, enabled by the agency’s new modular AI powered planning process.
