Wavemaker’s Simon Jones appointed as IPA’s North West City Head

Simon Jones, Managing Partner, Wavemaker has been appointed as the new IPA City Head for Manchester and the North West where he will champion the ad industry in the region.

The appointment was announced at the IPA’s annual dinner in Bristol last night (26th September).

As Managing Partner at Wavemaker Manchester, Simon heads up the planning and content activation teams. In his role as City Head at the IPA, Simon will take on a number of challenges including working with IPA members to best engage with the rich pool of talent in the region. Simon will also work with fellow City Heads (Dan Appleby, Tim Jones and Michelle Wright) and IPA Chair for England & Wales, Andy Reid to raise awareness of wider industry issues and IPA initiatives.

Speaking about his appointment Simon Jones said: “To be able to give back to an industry that has provided me with so much opportunity is exceptionally exciting. I’m really looking forward to working with my fellow City Heads and the IPA to help develop for the needs of the next generation advertisers.”
