Global media, content and technology agency Wavemaker is boosting its leadership team in the Asia-Pacific region with three new positions to supercharge local growth and support the delivery of the agency’s global strategy. The announcement was made by global CEO Tim Castree.
Gordon Domlija is appointed Regional President, Wavemaker Asia-Pacific. Branching out from his position in China, where he heads up Wavemaker’s largest and fastest growing APAC market, Gordon will now lead the region for the agency. Gordon has successfully led Wavemaker in China during the past year, culminating in Wavemaker China being ranked second in the market. Gordon will add the title of Chairman for Wavemaker China and continue to directly support some key clients in China in addition to his regional responsibilities. He also joins the GroupM APAC ExCo. A new leader for Wavemaker China will be appointed in due course.
Allison Coley, currently MD of Client Solutions Hong Kong, is promoted to CEO, North Asia (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea) and Rose Huskey, currently MD of Client Solutions Singapore, is promoted to CEO, South East Asia (Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand).
In their new roles, Rose and Allison will expand their current responsibilities leading Wavemaker’s Hong Kong and Singapore hub for international client services by adding market duties. They will report to Alex Altman, President, Global Client Operations, for Client Solutions and Gordon Domlija for markets. Both Allison and Rose will also join the Wavemaker Global ExCo.
Tim Castree commented, “Our new APAC leadership team will help us to capitalise on our recent success across the region and support the connectivity between markets and global capabilities. Gordon is one of our most accomplished market leaders and I believe he is the perfect choice to help us to continued growth for our clients and agency in the region.”
Mark Patterson, GroupM APAC CEO, added, “APAC is a high-growth region where market and customer behaviour is continuously disrupted. With Gordon in place as Wavemaker’s APAC leader, we’re well aligned to meet those challenges and secure the group’s position here.”
