World-class innovation was celebrated at the event, where Wavemaker UK won in both the Best Custom Media Research Project Award category and the coveted accolade of Media Agency of the Year Award.
Our “outstanding” PHE Breastfeeding Friend and WM Voicemaker project won us the Best Custom Media Research Project prize, with the judges noting that this was a very high-quality category. “Wavemaker won thanks to its innovation, clarity of thought and sophisticated execution. It is a worthy winner from an excellent shortlist,” said David Pidgeon, judge and editor of Mediatel News.
Our Audience Science team also won the Media Agency of the Year Award – beating stiff competition from OMD UK and the7stars. “Wavemaker rose to the top of a closely-fought category with a great catalogue of projects, using a variety of techniques and data. The common thread was a singular focus on driving actionable insight for clients,” said Denise Turner, judge and director of insight at Newsworks.
“Insight in media agencies has undoubtedly undergone massive transformation, and that was definitely reflected in the entries in this category,” she added.
