Last night, Wavemaker US won two trophies at the Festival of Media Awards North America. The campaign, which was created to increase adoption at The Animal Care Centers of NYC, won Best Use of Traditional/Ambient Media and The Effectiveness Award.
The winning campaign was for The Animal Care Centers of NYC, who tasked Wavemaker with increasing the number of annual pet adoptions. We delivered an approach that geo-targeted proud New Yorkers (and their existing pets – with scented and lowered OOH ads) and saw adoptions increase so much that for the first time, 100% of all kittens born that season found new homes.
The Festival of Media North America judges named it Best Use of Traditional / Ambient Media and also gave it The Effectiveness Award. This follows a win at the Ad Week Media Plan of the Year awards earlier in the year for the same campaign.
