The IPA’s CPD Gold Accreditation scheme was introduced to recognise and reward agencies who demonstrate a genuine culture of learning, bettering the professionalism, development and reputation of the industry, enhancing clients’ brands and agencies’ worth as a result. Platinum accreditation is achieved when businesses have held the Gold accreditation for five consecutive years.
In achieving IPA CPD Platinum Accreditation, Wavemaker UK effectively demonstrated that CPD lies at the heart of their business, building a strong learning culture, in support of real business objectives and the development of their employees professionally and personally. This is heavily supported through their commitment to workplace diversity, mental health and training for everyone working at Wavemaker UK through a blended programme of companywide training programmes and employee-led initiatives, clubs and societies providing development opportunities for all.
Some of the unique Learning and Development opportunities at Wavemaker including the Internal Coaching programme, which the IPA judge described as ‘genius’, Globetrotters which enables individuals to experience working in other parts of the Wavemaker network abroad and Diversity groups such as WM Roots, Women@Wavemaker and WM Pride.
The IPA judging panel commented: “Wavemaker’s commitment to the development of their staff is evidenced by the huge amount of development opportunities available; opportunities that don’t just tick a box but make a meaningful contribution to the success of the business and those within it.”
Anna Hickey, Wavemaker UK COO, said “we are immensely proud of this award, reflecting our absolute focus on CPD for all of our future makers. We firmly believe that the best agencies should be committed to making an impact on their people as much as they commit to making an impact for their clients. This award proves that agencies like WM continue to provide the best career-defining growth opportunities for people.”
Wavemaker UK have been invited to attend an IPA’s Members Lunch hosted by IPA’s President, Nigel Vaz, on Wednesday 1st May where they will also be presented with their IPA Gold certificate by the chair of the CPD Gold Panel, Kerry Chilvers, Brands Director, Direct Line Group. A further Platinum ceremony takes place in July.
