Valuable new membership tool for sellers

Shopee has built a new tool for sellers to build a more sustainable business model and to create better customer relationships. 

By launching a self-served membership program tool, it effectively removed one of the costliest investments for many business owners. With Shopee Brand Membership, you can create store specific membership programs to recruit and reward subscribed members, for free. The tool provides most of the essential benefits you can think of, from members-only vouchers, to points and tiering systems. 

The program is well thought out, with sophisticated targeting and CRM features that you can use to send out CRM messages to members using customizable criteria (order size or frequency for example!). 

Wavemaker client, Danone, took part in the Shopee Mall Brand Memberships soft launch earlier this year for three of their Specialized Nutrition brands in Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia, and saw an average increase of 15% in repeat buyers since launching in April. 

Deborah Chong, Head of Ecommerce, Danone Specialized Nutrition Global, told Adobo Magazine.com: “We were really pleased with the performance in terms of new buyer sign-ups and order uplifts. This is a wonderful initiative by Shopee as it gives us the ability to better understand new and existing customers on the platform, which will help us build stronger relationships with them in the long run.”
