Adidas shows up in style with Snapchat Bitmoji collaboration

Multinational athletics brand, Adidas, has partnered with Snapchat to release the first-of-its-kind Bitmoji merchandise.

Bitmojis (personalised avatars) have grown in popularity over the years amongst Snapchat users, enabling them to bring themselves to life online using GIFs, reactions, and most importantly, fashion. There’s no doubt that the use of style and originality is what sets each Bitmoji apart, which is why Snapchat are constantly looking for new ways to bring exclusive digital fashion items and apparel to its more than 332 million daily active users.

Adidas hit the nail on the head with this collaboration by tapping into the demand and giving access to their exclusive ‘Into The Metaverse’ (ITM) track jacket for a limited time. To claim and wear the jacket, Snapchat users had to select their Bitmoji, and then tap the adidas Bitmoji drop banner where they were asked to use 250 Snap Tokens (available to purchase in the app’s Token Shop). The bright yellow ITM track jacket – featuring their iconic web3 logo and black stripes – only remained accessible and saved in their virtual closet to the lucky few who were able to get their hands on it on the release date.

With this feature (A.K.A Hypebeast), Snapchatters have a new way to unlock exclusive digital fashion, and it’s a great opportunity for brands to partner with Snap’s Bitmoji in a fresh and personal way at scale to maximise growth.
