It was a momentous milestone for Wavemaker, a company formed exactly 2 years ago with the merger between Maxus and MEC. The 2nd-anniversary celebrations commenced with religious observances in the presence of priests from all religions chanting prayers and offering blessings for the company’s success and the journey ahead. Wavemaker has always believed in maintaining a positive multi-cultural environment and encourages diversity at all times. The entire team worked together, irrespective of their religious backgrounds to ensure the office premises was decorated and set up to commence the various rituals prior to obtaining blessings from the clergy. The team led by Namalie Herath (CEO, Wavemaker Sri Lanka) then went on to light traditional oil lamps signifying the bright journey ahead and the team’s commitment to working together to take the Wavemaker name high.
After which, the team gathered to share special delicacies which included local favourites such as imbul-kiribath, laddu, king coconut, curd etc. most were made by the team. These were shared with the rest of GroupM colleagues.
