Wavemaker Rises to Top Three in RECMA'S Latest Media Agencies Qualitative Evaluation China Report
Six media groups comprising twenty agencies were assessed for this report which provides a comprehensive summary of the agencies performance across all aspects of the media agency business including pitch performance, growth, digital and diversified services capabilities and client profile.
This is an exceptional achievement for Wavemaker which only launched in China in December last year, following the merger of Maxus and MEC. The RECMA evaluation recognized Wavemaker for its strong performance in winning new business including recent wins RenRen, Meituan, SAIC MG, its digital and diversified services capabilities and diverse client profile.
China remains a highly dynamic and competitive market, which requires agencies to constantly evolve their structures and services in order to meet the changing needs of clients in pursuit of business growth. Wavemaker’s success since launch is attributable to a focus on proprietary digital analytics that deliver localized understanding of how customers make purchase decisions. This understanding helps our clients to make faster, better informed business and investment decisions.
Gordon Domlija, CEO Wavemaker Greater China commented: ‘At Wavemaker we set out to create a differentiated, sustainable agency of the future. Our people and business partners have embraced an approach that challenges conventional thinking and helps unlock brand growth potential. I’m delighted in the progress we have made in such a short time, and that the positive response we have received from our clients and industry has been recognized in this latest RECMA report’.
