Monday 8th of March, marked International Women’s Day (or as we would like to call it International Women’s Week)! We celebrated across the globe with different activities highlighting inspirational women.
This year’s theme was #ChooseToChallenge… “A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change. So let’s all choose to challenge”. We want to challenge ourselves, our clients and the industry to do better every day.
Check out some of the things we had going on this week!
We asked our clients from Bumble, Danone and Mondelēz International about the biggest challenges they’ve faced in their careers and advice they would give to the industry to positively provoke change for gender equality.
Anna Hickey, Global Client President, Wavemaker speaks to Shachar Scott, Vice President Global Marketing, Bumble about overcoming personal challenges, inspirational career advice, and the forward-thinking work Bumble is doing to further gender equality.
Alastair Bannerman, Global Client President, Wavemaker talks to Catherine Lautier, Global Head of Media, Danone about overcoming microaggression, the power of diversity and gender inequalities in the industry.
Anna Hickey, Global Client President, Wavemaker speaks to Meghan Johnson, Global Head of Agency Ecosystem, Consumer Experience, Mondelēz International about overcoming career challenges, following your gut and the actionable steps Mondelēz are taking towards gender equality.
WPP AUNZ has a long-term commitment to welcoming and supporting diversity and inclusion across all its teams. Our Wavemaker ANZ, Business Director, Becky Marsh, tells B&T Magazine why International Women’s Day is important and will be until gender equality is no longer an issue.
