Wavemaker wins Pernod Ricard China

Pernod Ricard China has appointed Wavemaker as its media agency. The agency will handle its ecommerce and content as well as media planning and buying for the complete portfolio of its iconic brands including Martell, Chivas Regal, Ballantine’s, Royal Salute, The Glenlivet, Jameson, Absolut, Beefeater, Havana Club, Monkey 47, Perrier-Jouët, Mumm and Jacob’s Creek

Pernod Ricard China  and  Wavemaker  have a shared approach to  consumer centric marketing and data-driven solutions.  Through our partnership  we’re hoping  to  grow our business in China and bring even more Pernod Ricard  moments  of conviviality  to the Chinese consumers.

Since 1975, Pernod Ricard has built one of the most comprehensive portfolios of premium brands in the industry on an international scale. In China, it leads the way amongst international wine and spirits groups. Key brands such as Chivas Regal, Martell and Royal Salute were introduced into the country over two decades ago. Pernod Ricard China delivered an outstanding sales growth of 21%, making it a key contributor to the global sales of 9.182 billion euros (72.2 billion RMB), according its 2019 fiscal report released in Paris this August.

The win is the last of a series of successes for Wavemaker China that most recently added Huawei, China Mobile and UnionPay to their client portfolio.
