Wavemaker maintain workplace culture excellence with Best Places to Work ranking
Wavemaker Australia has cemented its position as one of the country’s top employers by retaining its number 18 ranking on Best Places to Work 2019, for companies with more than 100 employees.
MEC previously appeared on the list for three consecutive years, ranking 13th in 2017 for companies with more than 100 employees, while Maxus also made the cut, ranking 15th among companies with fewer than 100 employees.
This is the 12th year The Best Places to Work has been published by the list’s creator, Great Place to Work Institute, a global workplace research and consulting firm. The list recognises organisations leading the way in workplace culture, with two-thirds of the scoring based on employee responses to an anonymous survey.

Wavemaker’s culture initiatives are inspired by the agency’s Care, Create & Grow focus and include external and internal training; a mentoring program for younger employees; an Employee Assistant Program (including professional counselling); wellness classes; the Globetrotters Programme, through which Wavemaker Australia employees can immerse themselves for 2-3 weeks in an overseas Wavemaker office; and enhanced maternity and paternity leave benefits, among other benefits.
