Wavemaker is South Africa’s best performing media agency according to COMvergence’s New Business Barometer for H1 2021.
In the just released report from the independent research company, Wavemaker South Africa leads the agency ranking with an overall new business result of $11.9m followed by MediaCom ($3m) and Mindshare ($2.5,m). GroupM tops the media group league with $17m, ahead of Dentsu ($2m) and OMG ($0.5m).
Wavemaker’s leadership position follows recent new business success, including snapping up accounts for Tiger Brands, Danone and DiDi. Wavemaker South Africa also ended 2020 as the best performing media agency according to the 2020 New Business Barometer, following key wins including Telkom, Curro, Huawei, DeLonghi and Total Energies.
